Riu Guanacaste Hotel is situated in the Guanacaste province on Costa Rica's northern Pacific coast on beautiful Matapalo Beach. It is 20.5 miles (approximately 45 mins) from the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Guanacaste. Just eight miles from fantastic shopping, and with the neighboring village of Nuevo Colón nearby, there is no shortage of entertainment. Riu Guanacaste Hotel is situated on beautiful Matapalo Beach in Costa Rica and surrounded by a lush garden terrain. The full-service Renova Spa offers adult guests a peaceful respite from the day's adventures, as children 4-12 years of age will find nothing but fun at the supervised RIU Kids Club. Guests will enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, an inviting pool and sun terrace area, and a myriad of activities for all ages.
Renovation Notice:
There's more on the way! The resort will be closing for a full hotel renovation from April 28th, 2025 to October 3th, 2025. The resort will re-open on October 4th, 2025. Please stay tuned, more exciting details as soon as updates are received.
Sunset Ridge House Private Party Details:
The Forever Young group is invited to a private house/pool party at Sunset Ridge House February 19, 2026. We will have a private chef and drinks will be served. After check in at the hotel you will be transported as a group to Sunset Ridge House. Be sure to arrive in Costa Rica as early as possible. That way you can make your way to the resort, check in, drop your luggage and come relax in the infinity pool and start your vacation off with the Forever young travel group. This is a private party for friends and family of Mande and Ryan. Other travelers booking the Riu resort will not be included on the guest list.
